Nestled in the heart of Paris at 37 Rue Laugier, SATEBALI brings a genuine taste of Indonesian cuisine to the city. This cozy Indonesian restaurant stands out for its authentic sate dishes, grilled to perfection with tender, richly flavored meats, such as sate agneau (lamb) and sate ayam (chicken). Each skewer arrives accompanied by traditional sides—fluffy rice, tangy acar pickles, fresh salad, and crunchy kerupuk—creating a balanced and satisfying meal.

The culinary experience at SATEBALI feels deeply rooted in Indonesian tradition. Customers appreciate the care taken in homemade components, from the sauces to the refreshing in-house brewed teas, which enhance every bite with nuanced flavors. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, complemented by attentive and friendly service from the owners, making it not just a meal, but a memorable cultural encounter.

As a food reviewer, I was particularly impressed by the smoky char on the sate ayam and sapi, paired perfectly with well-seasoned, fragrant nasi goreng. The presentation is clean and appealing, reflecting the passion behind each dish. While some might find certain sauces personally less appealing, the overall authenticity and homemade quality resonate clearly, establishing SATEBALI as a must-visit for Indonesian food enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

Reasonably priced and with a quaint dining space, SATEBALI offers a rare and delightful Indonesian culinary journey right in Paris. For anyone seeking bold spices, tender grilled meats, and genuine flavors crafted with care, this spot deserves top marks on the list.
